With the lack of exposure to the arts she became a self-taught at drawing. Due to the dictatorship that has deteriorated her country, she knew that there was no future for her. Before graduating from High School she took the most difficult decision, risk everything and leave her country in pursue for her dream. Since her first exposure to the entertainment industry it’s has been a learning curve and a journey of self-discovery for Valentina. After working for 1 year as an Illustrator she started to take an interest in animation as a craftsmanship. Then she decided to pursue an MFA in animation. As an animation student she had the opportunity to work in collaborative projects like “Coyote’s Place” “Steve’s Catch” and “Melody”. She love giving feedback and collaborate with other animators, has problem solving skills, she works well under pressure, has good time management skills, she is willing to learn new things from the pipeline, lastly Valentina is not afraid of a good challenge and she will work hard to overcome it. Her goal as an animator is to be able to deliver character performance that are believable, appealing, and able to emotionally connect with people the same way she did.
