MA - Game Development
Being from a small town in India, my exposure to Concept Art and the film industry was almost nothing. But as life has it, I followed the breadcrumbs and somehow made my way to San Francisco.
Apart from my time and learning at AAU, I had an amazing experience training under the Art Director and Concept Artists of ILM & Lucasfilm. I was lucky enough to win a full scholarship too, to study last summer in Los Angeles, under the guidance of Naughty Dog’s talented Concept Artists.
What I love about being a concept artist is that it encourages constant exploration, from studying the forms of human anatomy to exploring nature and the weirdest creatures living among us. My days are usually occupied trying to find ways to translate my explorations into stunning visuals in various formats, including 2D, 3D and VR. My primary tools include Blender, Unreal, ZBrush, Gravity Sketch, Adobe Medium and Photoshop. My expertise lies in creating keyframe illustrations and cinematic environments for film, with strengths in character design, creatures, weapons, vehicles and prop design.
