Josephine Albrektsen

My name is Josephine, I’m a Visual Development artist and Illustrator, and I come from a small island off of the coast of Northern Norway. I graduated with an MFA in Visual Development in December 2023.

I’m very passionate about art and storytelling, and I love exploring different mediums and styles. I want to channel the energy of an excited little kid with paint-stained hands, and convey nostalgia, whimsy, and wonder in my work. My experience ranges from illustration to feature concepts and short films in animation, where I’ve created character designs, environments, props, background design, cinematic moments, and color scripts. In the future, I’d love the opportunity to do production design or art direction, and I wish to publish a graphic novel I’ve been working on.
