Selania King

Selania King is a graduate student at the Academy of Art University, specializing in Look Development and Lighting. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Animation & Visual Effects from SAE Expression College, majoring in Texturing and Lighting. Her skills were refined during an internship at Outward Inc., where she crafted lighting setups for various products and home furnishings, fostering strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities. Selania contributed as a Texturing and Lighting Artist to the award-winning animation short “Closed Circuit,” garnering recognition from five animation and film festivals. Her career ambitions include evolving into a Look Development Artist and ultimately a Technical Director in Look Development. Beyond academia and career pursuits, she delights in exploring plant-based cooking and baking, with a particular passion for perfecting sourdough bread and mastering cookie science.
