MFA-Visual Development
Joseph Vecchione
am a Visual Development artist and Illustrator from Connecticut with experience designing characters. I started as an illustrator earning my BFA in Illustration at Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. I freelanced for a while in comics, games, and children’s book covers. I took classes in my free time afterward to learn digital and then attended the Academy of Art where I’m pursuing an MFA in Visual Development. I spend my free time working as an artist on GameJams creating art in a short timeframe with groups for games. It helps keep my skills sharp and my ability to work under pressure. My best skills are in my understanding of color and painting light, I highly enjoy painting backgrounds and props. I love meeting fellow artists and working with teams.
