Whitney Chow

My decision to work in visual effects came later in life, as I was initially a pre-medical student. There were many reasons behind my shift to the world of film and VFX, but ultimately, my love for stories and the details that ensure effective storytelling on the big screen drove me to begin my journey at AAU.

Since joining StudioX, I have been able to apply much of what I’ve learned to create pieces I never thought myself capable of. Working as a compositor, lighter, and student VFX supervisor at the studio has pushed me to pursue my passions with even greater vigor and determination.

Art has the power to change lives, and I believe my story is a testament to that. My childhood dream of becoming a doctor stemmed from a desire to help others, but now, I believe I can still achieve that goal through the magic of movies.
