MFA-Lighting and Texturing

Taylor Lilly

Taylor is a lighting artist whose background includes 8 years of theatrical and event lighting design. She is a co-leader of the WIA student chapter here at ArtU and recently completed the lighting mentorship with through the WIA mentorship program.
Since she began exploring lighting through theater, she has always been fascinated by the intangible nature of lighting in contrast to the significant role it plays in establishing the mood for an audience. She believes that fully capturing the atmosphere of a world through lighting in combination with narrative-driven look development is essential to creating a compelling story.
She takes the storytelling, communication, and innovative problem solving gained from years of working as a lighting designer in live theater and events into the world of animation as a lighting and lookdev artist.
