BFA - 3D Animation

Sugyung Ahn

Born in Seoul, Korea, I moved to the U.S. in 2021 to study 3D animation, inspired by how video games bring entire worlds to life through motion. I graduated from Academy of Art University in Fall 2024, where I focused on game animation and built a full gameplay animation set that taught me so much.
Through that process, I learned the key elements that make game animation powerful—clear and exaggerated poses, snappy and punchy timing, and clean arcs and spacing. Those principles completely changed how I think about movement and storytelling in games.
I’m especially inspired by the energy and style of games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, and Zenless Zone Zero. My dream is to contribute to building bold, memorable game worlds, no matter the style or role.
Outside of animation, I spend my time drawing, playing games, and watching old movies—always chasing that next spark of inspiration.
