MFA - Texturing & Lighting
Meghan Regan
Most recently, I served as a Texture, Lighting, and XGen Artist at Studio X at the Academy of Art University, where I created lighting and compositing for a multi-scene short film Chain, and designed stylized XGen hair for the lead character in Flicker. These projects honed my ability to develop textures from reference, construct clean shading networks, and integrate assets seamlessly into a production pipeline—all within a team-driven environment. Additionally, my work with Bad Wolf Girl Studios has cultivated my skills in time management, quality consistency, and brand communication, all of which translate directly to a production setting.
I bring hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as Substance Painter, Maya, Nuke, and Photoshop, and have a strong eye for light, color, and surface detail. I’m also proficient in Blender and have experience with fur and hair shading, which I know is a plus for this role. My communication skills, technical aptitude, and genuine enthusiasm for animation make me confident I would be a collaborative and dependable addition to your team.
