Selania King

Selania King is an MFA graduate of the Academy of Art University, specializing in Look Development and Lighting. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Animation & Visual Effects from SAE Expression College, where she focused on Texturing and Lighting.

Her skills were further honed during an internship at Outward Inc., where she designed lighting setups for various products and home furnishings, strengthening her abilities in communication, problem-solving, and collaboration. Selania is an award-winning Texturing and Lighting Artist, with her work on the animated shorts Closed Circuit and Chain earning recognition at over 45 Animation and film festivals.

With aspirations to grow into a Look Development Artist and, ultimately, a Technical Director in Look Development, she is currently collaborating on a short film with fellow alumni to expand and refine her portfolio.
