Ariani Barreto
Ariani Barreto is a freelance artist in storyboarding, visual development, graphics and illustration. She has been working at Studio X as a story artist, 2D animator, and concept designer specializing in environments. She finished her latest project partnered with Turn Around Inc., creating storyboards, 2D animation, and environmental backgrounds for a short film made to promote their latest book set to release on October 29, 2026. She is currently working at Studio X as a co-director and story artist for an undisclosed 2D animated horror comedy short. Ariani has previously worked as the lead story artist for a student-ran studio on a ongoing 3D animated faith film titled “Mine Twice”. With over a decade of freelance illustration experience, she has done album cover work for RAFV, logos for Melodies by Sheila, the playbill, poster, and shirt designs for the Centerville Performing Arts Showcase, and instructional graphics for the Derby Street Diorama Museum website. Ariani enjoys her free time pursuing photography, personal storyboard projects, and volunteering as a improv pianist for the Centerville Performing Arts Showcase.
